This hike and bike path is a 24-mile linear park that starts at 24 Mile Road and Dequindre in Shelby Township and travels northeast to the City of Richmond. This trail will link to 180 miles of trails in southeast Michigan.
May 2 - July 30, 2016: Please be advised of the Macomb County Dept of Roads' "32 Mile Over North Branch Clinton River Project." Details of the project and a map indicating roads closed near the MOTC are available by clicking here.
June 20 - July 1, 2016: Please be advised that ITC will be conducting annual spring maintenance on the transmission line along the MOTC. During this time you may see vehicles and equipment (pick-ups, bucket trucks, chippers and brush mowers) on the trail. Signs will be posted at each end of the work zone to provide notification to users about the work and any trail closure while active work is in progress. Contact ITC: firstname.lastname@example.org
June 24, 2016: ITC crews did not work on the Trail today. In order to limit the time that work equipment is staged on the trail during this period of high usage, ITC is removing the incompatible tree species in the wire zone only, and will remove incompatible tree species out of the brush areas immediately east of the trail, as well as to the west of the trail, during the winter months. Once crews have run through the wire zone, it will be determined if any herbicide followup is anticipated in 2016, or if that will take place in 2017. Contact ITC: email@example.com
